Our Honey is harvested from our own hives, spun out of the combs, strained (not filtered) and hand bottled. No Irradiation, no heat treatment, no pasturisation. Honey as nature intended.
Seasonal Collection
In the North West Province, Bees store honey during the Spring and Summer months when flowers are blooming – called the Nectar flow. Beekeepers only harvest honey when sure that the remaining stores in the hive will carry the swarm through winter. The availability of pure organic Honey is largely dependent on the season.
Organically Sourced
Artisan Honey only sells Honey harvested form our own hives at Van Eeden Apiaries in and around Klerksdorp. The honey is harvested and within 24 hours spun out in our honey house. No processing is done and the 100 pure, organic honey is nerely strained to remove bigger pieces of wax.
It ias always advised to buy local Honey – this suppoers the local Bee population and ensures that the user gains the maximum health benefits.
New Arrivals
No two harvests are ever the same – not even from the same hive. The predominant flowering plant determines the harvest. No two harvests ever have the same colour or taste. In the Klerksdorp area the predominant Honey comes from Eucalyptus, Buchubos, Melkbos, Sunflower, Pumpkin and Watermelon. Our Multiflora Honey comes from urban hives where bees forage in gardens.

Become a member of our Honey Club by subscribing. Members will have their Honey delivered to them on a monthly basis. A variety of Honey flavours and Honey products are available to choose from. This includes Beeswax products like Lip Balm, Body Butter and Lotion Bars.
